ACTICA Inc., manufacturer of mission critical
server memory products, today announces the release of 4GB FB-DIMM
667 (for Intel Bensley platform) memory.
The new 4GB Fully Bufferred DIMM 667 is designed to support the
growing need for high-density memory in Intel Xeon 5300, 5100 and
5000 series processor based servers. With ACTICA's high-density
memory modules, customers can take full advantage of increased
memory support in the latest server operating system to maximize
performance. ACTICA’s FB DIMM memory modules are available in 512MB,
1GB, 2GB and 4GB.
In order to meet the critical performance and
reliability requirements of high-end computing and server
applications, ACTICA only use premier grade components from major
DRAM makers. ACTICA also works with major server board providers
like Tyan, Supermicro, Uniwide and IWILL to perform rigorous
qualification test to ensure compatibility and functionality.
The FBDIMM architecture overcomes the previous
limitation of two-to-four module capacity per channel, thus allowing
server board to increase to as many as eight DRAM modules without
reducing the speed. With advanced memory buffer (AMB) chip
connecting each module in the system point to point, the new system
was enable to process an increased amount of data at the same time.
ACTICA's high-density memory can increase the
amount of installed memory and keep slots in reserve for future
upgrades, and is ideal for space-constrained applications in blade
and 1U servers. Every ACTICA module completes 24 hours of burn-in
reliability testing and extensive dynamic testing. All ACTICA memory
modules come with a limited lifetime warranty.
